Our Assistant Principal
Mr. Andrew Mettler
Mr. Andrew Mettler joined the East Greenwich Township leadership team as the Assistant Principal of Samuel Mickle School in September 2023. He believes that successful leadership involves collaboration and inspiring others to do their best work. As the Assistant Principal, Mr. Mettler understands that a superior school community is built and sustained by setting clear expectations that align with the mission and vision of the East Greenwich Township Board of Education.
Over the past three years at Samuel Mickle School, he has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our school community. He has consistently gone above and beyond to create a positive, engaging environment for both students and staff.
He has introduced and led several fun and purposeful initiatives, including the Bus Driver of the Month Program and the Mickle Positive Student Recognition Program. In addition, he has implemented the BuzzBoard, which gives students opportunities to share their opinions, provide feedback, and contribute ideas to improve the school culture. These efforts have strengthened school spirit, encouraged student voice, and reinforced a culture of positivity and appreciation.
Beyond programs and initiatives, he intentionally builds relationships with every student he comes into contact with. He takes the time to connect, listen, and support, ensuring students feel seen and valued. Above all, he consistently keeps student safety and well-being at the forefront of every decision he makes.
His dedication, creativity, and commitment to students have truly helped shape a supportive and positive school environment at Samuel Mickle, and he looks forward to continuing the work and building on the progress he has made here.
